Dear guests, due to Covid – 19 pandemic Croatian government has
introduced additional measures you must take while planning your holiday in
Republic of Croatia to make your stay as safe as possible for you and for
Croatian citizens.

Before starting your trip, please visit web page entercroatia.mup.hr where you will find form you must fill
before coming to Croatia.
The form is consisted of three parts.
In the first section, you must provide the
purpose of your stay in Croatia, country of departure and the dates through
which the certificate will be valid.
In the second section, you must fill personal
information about the designated passenger, the person who will submit
information for all the passengers in the vehicle.
For every passenger that will be traveling with you, you must enter
their first and last name, date of birth, type of document they will be
traveling with, serial number of chosen document and issuing country as well as
their citizenship and email address.
To provide safe environment for you and everyone who travels to Croatia, you will also be asked to fill information about every passenger’s health status considering Covid – 19.
Third part of the form includes info about
the facility you will be staying in. Here you must enter type of accommodation
you will be staying at, its name, place, and address. Also, you will be asked
to enter dates of your arrival and departure from each facility you will be
staying at.
Your announcement certificate will be sent to your email address as well
as all the necessary information regarding your stay in Croatia. You must print
announcement certificate and hand it to the police officer at the Croatian
border along with your ID or passport.
Citizens of Slovenia, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia,
Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Poland can enter Croatia without any
restrictions, but for faster transfer through Croatian border control should
have announcement certificate filled in advance.
Citizens of other EU countries and those coming to Croatia from non-EU+
countries must meet one of the following conditions:
1. Possesses documentation with which he can
prove ownership of real estate located in the Republic of Croatia, or vessel
(lessee is also permitted), or is attending a funeral in the Republic of
Croatia (possesses appropriate documentation which proves this). After meeting
the conditions, such foreign nationals are allowed to cross the state border,
they are registered and the location/address where they will stay, or where the
real estate/vessel is located, is entered as well as the contact telephone
number and duration of stay-when they plan leaving the Republic of Croatia.
2. They possess documentation with which they
prove that they were invited to the Republic of Croatia by an economic
operator, the economic operator’s interest for them to enter Republic of
Croatia, or a business meeting invite. For these passengers, it is necessary to
enter the place / address where they will stay and the contact phone number and
duration of stay - when they plan to leave the Republic of Croatia.
3. All other foreign nationals who have a
certain business reason, which cannot be foreseen at this time, and do not have
the appropriate documentation, should be instructed to announce their intention
to cross the state border (enter into the Republic of Croatia) at mail to: uzg.covid@mup.hr and they will receive an answer as soon
as possible.
International Air Transport Association (IATA)
announced the latest COVID-19 entry regulations for each country which have
proved crucial for those passengers who are flying to Croatia.
IATA's guidelines for Croatia, published June 10,
2020:
1. Passengers are not allowed to enter.
This does not apply to:
·
nationals of Croatia and their family members.
·
nationals of Austria, Czechia, Estonia, Germany,
Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
·
nationals of Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark,
Finland, France, Greece, Iceland, Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Liechtenstein,
Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, and
Switzerland when:
-
returning via Croatia to their country of residence;
or
-
traveling on business with an invitation letter; or
-
traveling as tourists with accommodation reservation
confirmation.
·
passengers with a British passport and their family
members, when:
-
returning via Croatia to their country of residence;
or
-
traveling on business with an invitation letter; or
-
traveling as tourists with accommodation reservation
confirmation.
·
passengers with a long-term residence permit issued by
Croatia.
·
passengers with a long term residence permit or a long
term "D" visa issued by Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus,
Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland,
Ireland (Rep.), Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta,
Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain,
Sweden, Switzerland or United Kingdom when:
-
returning via Croatia to their country of residence;
or
-
traveling on business with an invitation letter; or
-
traveling as tourists with accommodation reservation
confirmation.
·
passengers entering Croatia to transit by land to a
third country. They must prove that they can enter the destination country.
2. Passports and national ID cards issued to
nationals of Croatia which expired on 11 March 2020 or later are considered
valid.
When traveling to Croatia by air, please
make sure to have IATA’s guidelines on you as well as announcement certificate/
booking confirmation/ email confirmation from MUP because many
airlines and travel agencies are unaware of the restrictions.
·
No additional testing for COVID-19 is required to
enter the Republic of Croatia.
·
By entering the Republic of Croatia, you are not
obliged to stay in self-isolation.
·
If you develop symptoms of COVID-19 disease, you are
required to stay in your accommodation and inform your host who will take
further necessary steps and contact the doctor for you.
·
If you have signs of illness when entering the Republic
of Croatia, the border police will inform the border sanitary inspector who
will define further treatment with the possibility of referral to the competent
health institution for testing and treatment.
·
Catering facilities, additional facilities and shops
are open to visitors with epidemiological protection measures to ensure the
protection of visitors.
·
It is recommended to use a mask or cover for the nose
and mouth, maintain physical distance from other people (minimum 1.5 meters)
and regularly perform hand hygiene.
·
Wash your hands as often as possible with warm soapy
water and / or use a hand sanitizer that should be rubbed well into your palms.
Avoid touching face, mouth, nose, and eyes.
·
It is recommended to perform payment services by
cashless card payment or online services.
·
It is recommended to use your own means of transport
or rent-a-car, and if other forms of transport are used, take care of measures
to prevent the spread of the disease.
·
It is recommended to avoid larger groups with people
with whom you do not share accommodation.
·
